The Light Though...

If you looked for a post last week - I apologize!  It was a crazy week and I didn't get one up - but I'm back! :)

Today's post is just a little food for thought and to cheer you on in this life!
I don't know about you, but I've been kinda overwhelmed by the amount of evil in the world of late - the amount of darkness.  Well, God so lovingly brought to mind something I've never really thought of in this particular way before and it blessed me like crazy!  The thought was this, {Darkness has the power of influence but it doesn't have the power of an energy source like light does!}.  Interesting thought isn't it?  It sure puts darkness in a new perspective doesn't it?  THE LIGHT THOUGH...darkness has NOTHING on it.  (Especially when the light energy source is CHRIST!!!)
Darkness/evil can influence with intrigue but only brings about confusion, gloom, and despair.  Light actually cuts through darkness.  It gives hope, direction, guidance, and reveals what's hidden in the dark. It actually brings about joy! (Just think of what a good day of sunshine does for the soul after a rainy dark day!)  Light casts out the dark. THE LIGHT THOUGH...it reaps life where darkness reaps destruction.

The Light of the world is Jesus! 

  "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.  IN HIM WAS LIFE; AND THE LIFE WAS THE LIGHT OF MEN!" 1 John 1:1-4.  "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life!" - John 8:12. "For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ!" -2 Corinthians 4:6

I loved these lyrics I heard in a song recently!  "Jesus, Jesus, You make the darkness tremble.  Your Name is a light that the shadows can't deny!"  (By Mosaic MSC)  WOWZERS.  So very true!!!!!!!

All this to say dear person reading this - don't be overwhelmed by evil.  Walk in the light.  Allow Jesus to shine through you by walking in His Spirit and being yielded to His will in every moment.
The darkness trembles at the power of His light!  Today is a GRAND OCCASION to show the world Jesus and the joy that comes from basking in His presence!!!! ;)
