Don't fall for it!

You're the Captain of an army and you're on the battlefield.  You're in a tent along with fellow comrades bent over a table with plans and strategies being mapped out.  You're planning the defense and offense of the war that the enemy has waged against your King and your people.  In the midst of the intense planning, suddenly someone rushes into the tent and declares he was sent from the King and shows the seal proving he is legit.  He then tells why he was sent. He looks at the strategy you have mapped out and tells you that there's a trap, the King knew of it and wanted to warn you but also encourage you that He knows you will use what he has equipped you with to not fall for it!

Wouldn't that be super amazing to have vital "intel" from the King himself about the enemy?! Translate that into the spiritual battle that satan has waged against God's people and mankind for that matter (since we are all made in God's image) and know that God has equipped you with all you need to stand against wiles and tricks of the devil.  His Word, the Scriptures, the Holy Bible is "sharper than any two-edged sword" (as He has told us) and His Spirit is God Himself ALIVE in us!!!!!!  Doesn't get much better than that in a war against evil right?!!!!

The purpose of this post is an encouragement to stand strong and don't fall for satan's tactics!  I was thinking about how easily it is to fall for his deceptions and lies - he is sneaky in how he presents it to us, but if we are alert we can identify and reject it before major damage is done! (and even then God is the greatest repairer of damage that satan does - just saying.)  Nothing is too hard for Him to make good out of bad!

Here are some of my thoughts of late...
Satan is the author of lies, distorting truth, confusion, deception and one of his main weapons is getting people to believe something of themselves that they aren't.  He will do anything to get you to not believe your worth as a person created IN THE IMAGE OF GOD!  He even uses false "worth" as a lure because he knows all of us want to feel worthy.  He lures in and then snags with a lie.  He goes to any length to hide the full truth from you - because where the full truth is - God is there.

You and every other person, whether they believe it or not are made by the God Almighty of the Universe and hence are made in His image!! (talk about crazy worth right there baby!!!!)  Satan can't handle you claiming that fact.  He despised what he was created for (to glorify God as an angel of His) and his agenda is for everyone else to despise their calling and what they were made for too.  He is a fallen angel and his mission is for all of mankind to "fall" too.  He goes after people who don't have a personal relationship with Jesus to prevent them from ever believing on His work on the cross for them to have eternal life and he also goes after those who have believed on Jesus too.  He knows they are sealed for heaven, but he also knows if he can get them to believe lies - it will mare their victory and impact for eternity and he's all about that.

Satan has created a horrible mission to try and "discredit" God's design.  (which is impossible - but can seem possible to those believing untruths.)  He will attack in thought, physically and in many other ways and through people to get someone to think that their worth to Jesus Christ and in Jesus Christ is invalid.  He'll get you to question how you were made.  He loves the trap of comparison, he enjoys when people envy what others have that they don't, he takes pleasure in you believing falsities about yourself.  He's out to convince that immorality is the "new morality",  that evil causes are the "in thing", that victim mindset is a "just calling", that sexuality is "subjective to what makes you happy" and that fulfillment in this life is a choice nothing to do with God (which is a horrible deception).  God IS fulfillment!  Satan's deceptions might distort, but they can't re-create what God has created and established.  Satan will ultimately be defeated by God, but he's wanting to take down as many as he can with him.  Don't fall for any of his lies.  Satan enslaves through lies (even though he boasts that you'll be free as ever!)  God frees through truth - through righteousness! (and He is a promise Keeper so His freedom is real as real can be!)

Recognize satan's tactics.  If you have believed on Christ as your Savior, you have the greatest help - the King Himself through the Holy Spirit!  If you haven't made a decision to believe on Jesus' work on the cross for you personally - know that satan is out for everyone - but especially for you!  He doesn't want your spirit sealed for an eternity with the King of Kings!

Know this - YOU WERE CREATED BY A LOVING CREATOR WITH A CHOICE to live with Him and for Him or not.  He didn't make you a robot that HAD to do His will, because He loved you more than that!  But also know - that you come from a line of supernatural royalty - YOU are made in God's image - that's how He designed you, don't let satan or anyone else tell you otherwise!  Satan didn't create you and the only power he can have over us is what we let him have.  I really want to recognize this and beware of his deceits.  I realize how I easily compare myself to others, how I can easily accept lies about my worth by what he sneaks into my thinking, and so on.  I don't want to give satan any pleasure!  Good grief.  Don't live for other's approval.  Don't fall for lies about your worth and don't look for worth in things or lifestyles that won't fulfill!  Christ accepts you and loves you soooooo very much!!!    You were made for greatness and the riches of God at Christ's expense (He sacrificed Himself to take your eternal sin penalty)! You were made to be an heir to the King of Kings - to glorify the GREAT ONE and experience what you, body, soul and spirit were created for so beautifully and handsomely and gloriously - righteousness and eternal blessing and being a blessing supernaturally!  God is amazing and all of Who He is - is beyond fathom and yet He loves knowing us, and us knowing Him!  *Mind-blown hand motion inserted here and a huge smile because I'm so grateful to know Him and continue to get to know Him now and for eternity!*

Who are you?
You are an intricate design by the one true Divine God.
Whose are you?
(only you can answer that!)
What is your purpose?
To show forth the glory of God through embracing how He made you, believing His act of love and sacrifice for you, living for the Kingdom now and always!
What is today?
Well, the next best day of your life in living in truth, loving all people, not falling for lies and looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of your faith!

Cheering you on!  Don't fall for anything satan tries to feed you!  Feast on God's truth and have sure footing!!!! ;)

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;  -Ephesians 6:10-18

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30 I and my Father are one. -John 10:1-,11-28 and 29
