~A Mark in History~

"For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright!"
~Psalms 11:7~

Hey there Everyone!
Hope your week has been fabulous!

One of my dreams, as a young girl, was that something I had written would make it into a history book some day! I loved to journal (still do!) and so I would imagine how incredible it would be if an excerpt from one of my journals would be passed down as a legacy and impact history! :D The reason I'm telling you about a this is because of this post's title, "A Mark in History"!  As a young girl, I wanted to make a mark on history and I still do!  It might not be in that exact form, but even the simplest act of obeying the Lord can bring such amazing impact to generations!!!!!!  I read a verse recently that just struck me as sooooo incredible!  Here it is!

"And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness!"
(Genesis 15:6)

Isn't that awesome?! I don't think Abraham was thinking that his belief and trust in the Lord would get recorded in THE BIBLE, but it DID!  It pleased God!  He believed God and that belief brought Him the incredible blessing of righteousness! Wowzers! So neat isn't it?!  That's how I want to live! I want it to be said of me, "Bri Northern believed in The Lord and God counted it to her for righteousness!"  These past couple of weeks God has been asking my heart, "Do you trust me?".  :) I'm so glad that I can! I'm so glad that I have a infinitely, powerful, enabling and wise Jehovah Who I can trust with everything!  That fact makes me smile with gratefulness. What a mighty God we serve!  Check out these verses too!  They just challenge me so much and get me "pumped" for the same unwavering faith to be "said" of me!!!!!!!!

"What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification." (Romans 4:1-3, 16-25)

May you "stagger not at the promise of God through unbelief", but be strong in faith, giving glory to God!  Make a mark in history by being YOU and believing what God can do!!!!!!
Blessings,
Bri :)
