"And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ!..."
He is risen - just as He promised!
Hope your celebration of His kept promise was wonderfully wonderful! :O)
I'm sitting here typing, feeling like if it was possible for a heart to smile - then mine is beaming! Do you ever have a truth that God shares with you, about who you are in Him, that just grabs your soul in a big ole hug and gets you excited to be His very own?! Well, this post is one of those truths for me!
Christ, the Son of GOD endured the worst of deaths and then rose again to life so that I might have an eternal life inheritance with the Father!!!!!!!! And the moment I received Jesus' gift - I became an HEIR OF GOD - joint HEIR WITH CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
An Heir of God with Christ. Is there any greater existence than that?!!!!!!! No way - not a chance! :O) I just soak in that truth with incredible wonder and receive such a renewed purpose, in how being "in Christ" is such a glorious position!!!
Kingdoms, castles, thrones, royal heirs - they fascinate me! There's such a magnificence to the realm of them and that's just from an "earthly" stand-point! We are royal heirs of the Kingdom of God, Who's throne is everlasting and Who's dwelling place is beyond fathoming -and our reign is even now! He has given us His Spirit to accomplish His Kingdom work from now and for eternity!!!!!!
So...I gotta ask - is your heart smiling too?!!! <3 lol!
I was super SUPER blessed by the promise titles that God gives to His heirs in Scripture and thought I'd type some out! (p.s. There's way more verses where the ones below come from - it's an amazing topic to look up!!!!! Wow, does God ever love affirming His own!!!!!)
~Heirs of Salvation~
-Hebrews 1:13-14 & 2:11-
"13But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand,
until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
14Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
"11For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren."
~Heirs of Righteousness~
-Galations 4:6-7 & Hebrews 11:7-
6And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts,
crying, Abba, Father.
7Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
"7By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith."
~Heirs of Promise~
-Galations 3:27-29 & Hebrews 6:17-18-
"27For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female:
for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
17Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie,
we might have a strong consolation,
who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:"
~Heirs of the Grace of Life~
-I Peter 3:7-
"7Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered."
~Heirs of the World~
"13For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law,
but through the righteousness of faith.
but through the righteousness of faith.
14For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
15Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
16Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
17(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
~Heirs of the Kingdom~
5Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?"
I hope your spirit's soarin and your heart can't stop grinin with the truth that God calls you His heir and that ALL of Who He is, is yours - because you are royally His! :O)
Have a great week!
