"Get your hopes up"

Hey there!  Glad to have you stop by my blog today! Hope this short post puts some joy and pep in your step!

I feel like the phrase “Get your hopes up” is usually prefaced with a “don’t” – wouldn’t you agree?  And while life does contain disappointing times and unfulfilled wishes, with God you can leave off the preface “don’t” and keep it at “Get your hopes up!”

Let me explain my heart in the above sentence.  When I say, “Get your hopes up” – I’m saying set your hopes on God, which is the highest that they can go!   And when I say “hopes”, I’m not talking selfish expectations, but I’m talking righteous dreams, Godly desires and excitement over the future!!!!  When you put your hope upon God, you surrender it to His sovereignty and they are high, because you are believing that He ONLY does what is GOOD!  Even when you experience tough times, trials and really rough things, WHO HE IS never changes and His ultimate plan is glorious! To get your hopes up in the best possible way is to be in a sweet place of  trusting God’s heart and holding His mighty hand!

There are SOOOO many Bible verses that contain the word hope but instead of me typing them all out, I picked  a few to do so and then will list some more references for you to go grab your Bible and read on your own! 

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is!” – Jeremiah 17:7

(Talking of Abraham) “Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.””He staggered not at the promises of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform.” -Romans 4:18 and 20  (God is faithful!)

“Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope!” – Psalm 16:9

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost!” – Romans 15:13

Blessings to you!  Get those hopes UP to God – the highest place they can go and get excited even if you don’t see how He can work your situation out for good – because HE CAN!!!!  His heart is for you! Your life brings Him joy!  He fights for you!  He loves you beyond fathoming!!!!  Trust Him!!!
