Like Confetti at a Wedding

Hello!  Hope your day/week is going great!  There's always something to celebrate and this post is all about that!  Hope it encourages you today!

Isn't that picture above so great?! It's like you can't help but smile and feel the celebration of that moment!  It's the perfect picture to go along with some lyrics that I love that say,  "(God) Your mercy rains from heaven, like confetti at a wedding and I am celebrating in the downpour!" (a line from the song "Finally Free" by Rend Collective).

What an incredible thought - what incredible truth!!!!!!  God's mercy raining down like the confetti that's thrown at a wedding! And it's true not just of God's mercy, but also of EVERY aspect of Himself - His joy, His love, His forgiveness, His patience, His grace and I coud go on and on!  Isn't that thought super WOW?!  "...I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly!" -John 10:10b  God is an extravagant God and He is overflowing with an endless supply of His goodness, His character and His righteousness which is available to us ALWAYS!  THAT is what an abundant life is all about - what HIS gift of abundant life is all about!  And on a similar note - have you ever thought of how much God is a Celebrator?!!!  I've been so blessed thinking on this aspect of God!

Growing up, one of my most favorite aspects of the example of
Christ that my parents lived out every day, is that there is so much to celebrate!  I can't remember a day of my childhood even till today that didn't have that truth permiating it!  Even on rough days and when our family experienced some sad or hard things, my parents would highlight something that could be celebrated no matter what - because God's blessings in life far out-weighs the rough stuff!  Choosing to see that though, is not common and I'm so glad my parents chose to - it shaped me into who I am and gave me such a sweet realization of the celebratory character of Christ!

Here's an amazing verse that I recommend memorizing, just like if someone wrote you love note - you'd probably replay what it said over and over in your mind because of how much it meant to you right?  Well, let's do that with God's Word - memorize and meditate on it, because it IS a love letter written to you by the One Who loves you most!

"The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love (quiet you with His love), he will joy over thee with singing."  Zephaniah 3:17

It's so neat to think of the aspect of God as a Celebrator throughout Scripture!  When you're reading the Bible, look for it and you'll be blessed at how that character of Him is seen and evident!

(AND just think of how He is preparing a major feast for us who have believed on Him - His bride!!!!) *Insert happy dance here*

What an amazing God, Creator, Redeemer, Savior, Lover, Father, and King!
Enjoy being a part of His Kingdom today by loving being His and celebrating  His abundant "confetti-like" blessing that is poured down on you!  It's showers of Who He is and it's being  "thrown" over you with excitement from the heart of the greatest Celebrator of all time- God Himself!

*Throws Confetti in the air with a huge smile*
