My Thanksgiving Portion

"Thou art my portion, O Lord..."
~Psalms 119:57a~

Hey Everyone! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!
Hope your day is filled to the brim with gratefulness, family, food and blessing!!!

When you think of the word "portion" on Thanksgiving day it probably brings
wonderful images of right-out-of-the-oven turkey, huge helpings of stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, and maybe a giant slice of pumpkin pie right?! Lol!  Is your mouth watering yet? Or maybe you're reading this already have eaten and are stuffed with such goodness! (Food coma right?!) Lol!  If you know me, you know how I'm all about food and flavors!!! Lol! This post however, is simply to encourage you (and me ;) to focus on the very best and most wonderful of all "portions" and to "feast" on and enjoy Jesus Christ and His incomparable ways and incredible truths! And the awesome part is that you can never get stuffed or "in a coma" from God's goodness!! He designed it to be in-exhaustible, "flavor-full" to the MAX and enabling!!!!!!! So "go to town" at His banqueting table friends, because He's prepared for you a feast and His banner over you is LOVE!!!!!!!

"The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." (Psalms 16:5-11)

"Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee. But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works." (Psalms 73:23-28)

"Thou art my portion, O Lord : I have said that I would keep thy words. I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word. I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies. I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments." (Psalms 119:57-60)

"This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord." (Lamentations 3:21-26)

Blessings to you friends!!! Enjoy the ONE to Whom ALL thanks and praise is due!!!! Have the best THANKSGIVING DAY EVER!!!!!!
