Born for This!

"...And who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom

for such a time as this?" -Esther 4:14b

Hey there friends! :) 

Hope you're having the best of weeks!

I really like the phrase, "YOU WERE BORN FOR THIS"!!!  Talk about motivation right?!  It goes to the core of dedication in your situation!  :)  When someone says that phrase to me - it stirs a confidence and desire for me to live it out!  It's motivating and inspiring when friends and family say it and guess what?  GOD SAYS IT TO YOU TOO!  Think about the validity that that holds!!!! Your MAKER, PURPOSE GIVER, LIFE DESIGNER, LOVER OF YOUR SOUL, and HEAVENLY FATHER says very specifically in His Word what you were born for!!!!!!!!! Sometimes we don't feel adequate, strong enough or brave enough, but that's the beauty of living out (in Christ) what we were born for!  Christ, IN US, does the work that we were born for!  That's pretty exciting and free-ing I'd say!!!!! :)  I thought of some specific people in the Bible that God spoke His purpose over throughout the past, as an encouragement for our NOW! :)  Each one of us has a personally specific, ONCE IN A LIFETIME MISSION, as a vital part in the whole body of Christ!  This mission is part of an ultimate goal set before us by our reigning King of Kings, the  Lord Jesus Christ!  I love these true accounts from long ago in God's Word, that have been recorded for us to keep the faith now and for us not to forget the eternal purpose that God has given all believers!!!

MOSES 

(Experienced the enabling power of the Lord as he did as God commanded even though he felt un- qualified and not equipped!)

"Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain. And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations." (Exodus 3:10-15)

JOSEPH 

(Claimed a horrible situation and unknown future as a blessing and lived out his purpose to the fullest, bitterness-free and surrendered to God's plan!)

"And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest. And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt."(Genesis 45:4-8)

JOSHUA 

(Went  boldly as God commanded and experienced the vastness of God's power and blessings because of it!)

"Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying, Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." (Joshua 1:1-9)

ESTHER

(She knew what God had brought her to the palace to do and she went through with it, even in the face of death!)

"All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days. And they told to Mordecai Esther's words. Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" (Esther 4:11-14)

"Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house, over against the king's house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house. And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre. Then said the king unto her, What wilt thou, queen Esther? and what is thy request? it shall be even given thee to the half of the kingdom." (Esther 5:1-3)

JESUS!!!!! 

(He knew what He was born for and lived it out with passion and with all His heart!!!)

"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." (Matthew 5:17, 18)

"Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness." (John 12:44-46)

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep!" (John 10:10, 11)

All throughout the Bible there is true story after story of people that God's Spirit encouraged in what they were born for!!!  And all throughout the Bible God has written what YOU WERE BORN FOR TOO!! You were born for His glory!  You were born to declare His mighty works among people!  You were born to live out the character of Christ! (His diligence, enthusiasm, creativity, joyfulness, sensitivity etc.) You were born to be a living example of God's pleasure and to help others see the pleasure He has for them too!  You were born to stand out by unconditional love!  You were born to do exactly what God has led you to, as only you can through His strength!  You were born to hold to truth in the face of the enemy and lies!  You were born to lead and disciple!  The list goes on and on and on!!!!!! Dive into God's Word and search for it!  Ask Him to show you specifics of His plan for you!  Hear His Spirit say "You were born for this!"

Seek God's will in EVERYTHING friends!!!! Seek Him as your Goal Setter!  Know your worth, because since before time began -you were worth everything to Him!!! Listen for His voice and heed His direction!  Put aside hindrances, weights, doubts and fears and live in the eternal and for eternity!  His Holy Spirit will guide you and is constantly reminding you that -YOU WERE BORN FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!!!!!!!!!!
