A Cup of Happiness

"Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.

Hope you've had a great week!

Have you ever referred to your coffee, tea, apple cider or hot cocoa as a "cup of happiness" before? :) Lol - I have!  Well, let me tell you about the TRUEST cup of happiness you could ever hold and it's SO MUCH MORE than just a temporary lasting pleasure!  When you accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior - you have the incredible gift of holding the cup of God's blessing!  Your God is such a generous and loving God and His blessing is the richest, sweetest, most satisfying "cup" ever to be held!!!  The end of Psalm 23 says it perfectly!

"Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever!" 

(Psalms 23:5, 6)

Just "sip" on that truth and read it again!  Your cup of blessing OVERFLOWS!!!!!!!!!  GOD's goodness and mercy pursues and is upon you EVERY DAY of your life!  You get to live in the eternal kingdom of God NOW with Him on earth and in His presence for ever in the new heaven and earth that He's preparing!!!!!!  Whoa!  Now THAT is what I call a cup of happiness!!!!!!!!!  

No matter what situation you're in, trial you face, or sorrow you experience - the cup of God's blessing is always overflowing and is a constant source of true happiness!  Take a moment to focus on what He has "poured" into your life, instead of focusing on the discouraging and seemingly hopeless.  His grace and goodness have never-ending "refills" and His happiness is the deepest kind that warms you from the inside out! :). Enjoy Him filling your "cup"!  He loves to do so, more than you could ever know!!!!!!

"The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. 

The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. 

All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee.

They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;

 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. 

Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion

endureth throughout all generations. 

The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. 

The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season. 

Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. 

The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. 

The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. 

The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

 My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord :

and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever."
