Wait-ing

"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall

strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord!"

Hope today's post is an encouragement to you! :)

Waiting.  It's not the easiest thing in the world is it?  All of us have different things and situations in which we wait.  God has been so faithful to keep renewing my vision and to keep reminding me of what an honor waiting is and what true glory is found there - not just what it feels like to be in that place! ;)  

A friend recently wrote a status on her Facebook that really challenged me and I wanted to share it with you all! 

"I'm not sure if any of you are in the same situation I am in right now.  A situation that might leave you a little defeated, frustrated, mad, maybe a little depressed, or maybe all of the above.  After wallowing in self-pity for a few hours this afternoon, thinking of "poor pitiful me," I realized how selfish I was being.  If you find yourself here right now, here's a little advice that helped me look beyond the now to the glory of God.  Pray for others, and serve others.  Once the gaze is off self and on God and others, it's amazing how fast the joy of the Lord returns and all other feelings vanish.  God is faithful.  Keep your gaze on Him, for He is faithful!..."

Wow. It's so true what she so beautifully worded!  You really do see the joy of the Lord replace discouraging thoughts when you put God and His faithfulness in full view and then focus on serving others and blessing them in His name!  

God is challenging me to worship Him and serve Him with all my heart during my "waiting" times! :)

  The word wait in Hebrew is "qavah" and it's definition just thrills me!  It means "To bind together", "To intertwine", and "To expect"! Are you smiling like I am?! :O) Pretty incredible, dont you think?!  When we truly wait on God - we are being bound with all of Who He is!  We have ALL the reason to believe, without doubt that He is at work and have every reason to anticipate all the marvellous work of His, that He will reveal in His perfect timing!  But, what an incredible honor and blessing it is to worship and serve "hand-in-hand" with Him, while we wait!

"O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!  How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!
For who hath known the mind of the Lord?  or who hath been His counsellor?
Or who hath first given to Him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

God is so good!  He is faithful!  Blessings to you as you fully claim the depth of Who He is and Who He is for you in your waiting times! :)
