To Be Free

"Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty!"

Hey there Everyone!  Happy 4th of July!!!!!!  Hope your day is full to the brim of blessing as you celebrate!

I wanted to share some thoughts about an aspect of freedom for this post and will start off with a funny little story!

I was driving home from watching a sunset at the lake a few weeks ago and there was this bug right in my view on my car windshield.  As I drove, the wind was beating on that little bug like crazy but it was holding on tight for dear life! Lol!  It caught me funny as I looked and realized that it was holding on with one little foot and getting tossed all around. LOL! Good grief! If he would just let go, he'd be free!

That little bug is a funny reminder to let go of the things or situations or dreams that we are holding onto selfishly for dear life and BE FREE!  Letting go of details that we want to control on our own and trusting God to bring His best to pass is FREEDOM!  Wanting our own way and holding on for dear life to those wants only brings getting tossed to and fro and tattered like that little bug!  CLING to the only One worth clinging to - Jesus Christ!  Let Him be your steadfast rock and know true freedom!!  Our society says freedom is the right to do what we want.  Truth says freedom is the honor, desire and power to do what is RIGHT-eous! :)  

"Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left.

But cleave unto the Lord your God, as ye have done unto this day!"
