Complete Armor!

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord,
and in the power of His might!
Put on the whole armour of God, that
ye may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil!"
~Ephesians 6:10-11~

Hey there fellow soldiers of faith! :)
Hope your week has been a good one so far!

On Wednesday I gave a chalk talk presentation to an AWANA group at a church here in Ohio and thought I would share with you the presentation in picture form! (In case you don't know what a "Chalk Talk" is - it' pretty much just what it's called! lol!  I have an large easel and draw a chalk drawing in a 30min. time frame as I talk about God's truths!  It's super fun!!!!  The "glowing" picture that you'll see below is a hidden picture that's revealed with blacklight at the end of the presentation!!!!)  As I was gathering truths and thoughts about the armor of God to share with the children's group, I was really blessed by a book called, "31 Days of Power" by Ruth Myers.   I'm going to type out part of a chapter, about the armor of God, that she shares in her book - it's a prayer based on Scripture!  Hope it gets you excited about "putting on" the armor of God and standing strong in the power of His might!!

"You tell us that our fight is not against visible enemies but against the invisible forces of evil - the satanic forces which often work through humans, moving them to resist You and oppose us as You servants.  I affirm with confidence that You are infinitely greater than all these opponents.  And I praise You for providing this complete armor so that I can stand firm against my spiritual enemies.  I rejoice that I can be assured of victory and protected from every attack the enemy could ever conceive against me.

Thank You for each piece of armor - the belt of truth...the breastplate of righteousness...the footwear which the Good News of peace supplies...the shield of faith...the helmet of salvation...and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word.  How I thank You for these, for they are not luxuries or nice options, but necessities.  They prepare me for righteous living as well as for success in battle.  Teach me to wear my armor constantly.

I thank and praise You for the tremendous realities these pieces of armor represent.  They're a part of "every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies" which You've lavished on me in Christ.  And they're a vital part of Your plan for delivering me from the corrupt and destructive behaviors and thoughts that Satan promotes.

I praise You that You Yourself are my protective armor, both within me and around me.  You're the defense of my life and I can leave everything quietly to You.  "Rock, rescue, refuge, You are all to me.  Never shall I be overthrown...My safety and my honor rest on You."
~Ruth Myers~

"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom
shall I be afraid?"
~Psalm 27:1~

Stand for truth and live in the confidence of our fearless leader - Jesus Christ!! :)
Blessings,
Bri
