"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down
his life for his friends." ~John 15:13

Hey there everyone!  Happy week celebrating the God-given gift of freedom!
I hope your 4th of July was tons of fun!

The verse under the picture above is just so awesome and humbling.  The following verses are too.

"And he that taketh not his cross,
and followeth after me, is not
worthy of me.  He that findeth his life
shall lose it: and he that loseth his life, for
my sake shall find it.  He that receiveth you
receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth Him
that sent me." ~Matt. 10:38-40

I'm so grateful for KINGDOM FREEDOM through the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ! And I'm so grateful for the gift of national freedom through the Christ-like sacrifice of men and women made for me, from before I was born and even now, as I type this.  Those with vision that goes beyond their own lives to the point of willingly giving their lives - they are my heros.  Their selfless abandon reflects my Savior - the Hero of them all - and for that I'm forever grateful!  I'm humbled as I remember and rise up as I honor those who gave for me.  I think of the Author of freedom and bow in surrender because of His love for me.  Freedom doesn't come free.

So - let us be driven by Christ and inspired by those that have given their lives and give up our own lives (in living and dying) so that other's may live free!  Let's lay down our lives, in love, by being in all-out abandon to God and His will and by putting others first, as Christ did!  Freedom of country and freedom in the Spirit is from the Author of Freedom - let's fix our eyes upon Him!  :O)

Honored to be a soldier of the cross with each one of you!  Keep the faith and live out the freedom that has been purchased for you!

  1. what a beautiful it! Thanks for sharing Bri!

  2. love this and how you drew the Gospel out of what we typically celebrate on 4th of July - for that really is the foundation of it all and what should be first and foremost remembered! Thanks Bri!
