"For you..."

"For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us,
that we might become the righteousness of God in Him!"
~II Cor. 5:21~

Happy Crazy Amazing Celebration Week!  :O)
Hope that you are just bursting with awe over what God has done for you!

"Bursting with awe" is what my heart is feeling right now as I'm just thinking over how intensly sacrificial my Father's love is for me and for you!  I'm just so in awe of how the reality of the cross and the truth of the Gospel only grows deeper and deeper the more I get to know my Savior!  I love how the knowledge and understanding of God's love is never-ending and how He just keeps on revealing more of Himself to those who seek to know Him!  What an amazing God!

It was just so neat to focus in on the gospel of Jesus Christ especially this week and stand in awe of what He did for me and for you!  There God was, on His throne in heaven.  He, in perfect love for the people He created gave them a freedom to choose good or evil and as Adam sinned, so did all mankind.  God, being perfect and righteous in justice knew that the penalty for sin is death and that the death penalty of sin would be on all mankind.  In His righteous justice, He knew that He couldn't not give the penalty, but He also couldn't bear the thought of any one of the amazing people He had created experiencing eternal death - and so, in His perfect love, He decided that He would take the penalty on Himself, through His Son! The God of the universe, all mighty, all powerful, chose to send His Son, Who was without sin, to become the sin bearer of every single personal sin of each and every person that had lived, was living and would live! {This just blows my mind and makes my hear swell with wonder and amazement at His love!} What an ultimate sacrificial love!  A love like no other!  He paid the price and yet even that horrific death price He so willing paid, couldn't keep Him in the grave!  He died taking on every man's personal sin, but He is alive again to personally share in the life that He died to give!  He didn't want anyone to perish, but even after all He did, He didn't force His redemption on anyone.  He made the eternal life, obtained through the blood of His Son available as a gift - a gift that is declared to all, redeemable simply through belief and acceptance!  It's always available, with no conditions, only endless blessings and claimable promises eternally!    THAT'S WHO GOD IS - the GIVER OF ABUNDANT LIFE!!!!! I'm just sitting here in utter amazement and washed in such humility that He would do that for me. He would be my sin bearer.  Is your heart and mind experiencing a wave of gratefulness like mine is right now?!  I'm sure it is - because we serve an amazing, incredible, gift-giving, life-bestowing God!  He is the ultimate example of doing whatever it takes to live out love!  I'm forever grateful for Christ and His gift of the cross!  May God show us more of the depth of His gospel this week!

"But the free gift is not like the offense.
For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God
and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.
"So that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness
to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. ~Rom. 5:15 & 21

"Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him,
that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.
8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,
9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more.
Death no longer has dominion over Him.
10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all;
but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin,
but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~Rom. 6:6-11

"For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,
and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or
things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works,
yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death,
to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight!" ~Col. 1:19-22

You were God's dream come true when He created you - You are His heart's desire because He was willing and did die for you - and You are His delight and joy because through your belief, He lives in you!  May you have a blast this week celebrating with Him!!!! :O) ~Bri
