Eternally Speaking...

"...for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh!" ~Matt. 12:34

It's almost the weekend again!
Can you believe it?!  :O)
Whew -this month of April is just flying by like crazy!

Today I thought I'd post some of God's truth that He's been challenging me with today!  I'm a major fan of words - written ones, typed ones, and spoken ones, especially when they encourage and are full of truth!  I guess I take after my Father!  He spoke creation into existence.  He gave us His written Word in the Bible and He speaks so powerfully through His Spirit!!!  I'm so grateful for the gift of speech and communication!  I'm sure God was thrilled before He created man, just to think of speaking with us and communicating His love through words!  :O)  I was really struck with how vividly in Scripture God tells us to redeem our words for eternity and I was challenged to be wise in every aspect of my speech!  Here are some of those Scriptures!  (P.S. NO ONE else on the face of the earth can speak words as you can!  There's millions of known words - but only ONE YOU to speak them!!  So "soak" in God's Words and speak them in wisdom as only you can!)

"A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth;  and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
 Death and life are in the power of the tongue:
and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."
 ~Prov. 18:20-21~
{Speak life to the spirit and death to the flesh - not death to the spirit and life to the flesh! :O)}

"A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things:  and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth froth evil things.
But I say unto you, that every ide word that men
shall speak, they shall
give account thereof in the day of judgement.
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned."
~Matt. 12:35-37~
{Our words affect eternity!  Redeem them for God's glory!}

"For in many things we offend all.  If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body...The tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poisen.  Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.  Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing.
My brethren, these things ought not so to be!"
~James 3:2 & 8-10~
{God's Holy Spirit is the best "Tamer" ever  and He lives in you!!!
Trust Him and He will work!!!!!}

"A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth:  and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.  There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword:  but the tongue of the wise is health.  The lip of truth shall be established forever:  but a lying tongue is but for a moment.  Lying lips are abomination to the Lord:  but they that deal truly are His delight!"
~Prov. 12:14, 18-19~
{Our words affect us and others emotionally, physically and spiritually - wow - isn't that cause to be cautious and wise in what we say or what?!}

"Righteous lips are the delight of kings;  and they love him that speaketh right.  The wise in heart shall be called prudent:  and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.  The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.  Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones!"  ~Prov. 16:13,21,23-24
{Let's make our words pleasant and yummy as honeycomb, sweet to the mind, will and emotions and God will make them health to our body!  Awesome!!!}

"He that loveth pureness of heart, and has grace on his lips, the king shall be his friend.  Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.  For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee;
 they shall withal be fixed upon thy lips!"
~Prov. 22:11, 17-18~
{Applying our heart unto God's ways - puts His truth ever in our mouths!}

What an honor it is to be able to use our words to the glory of the Almighty God and for the very deep blessing of others!!  Have a blast as you and God impact eternity with words!!!!!  "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer!" ~Psalm 19:14

:O)
