Unwavering in Waves

   "Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial,
for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life,
 which God has promised to those who love him!" ~James 1:12

What a faithful God we serve!
He's faithful and steadfast in every moment of every day, never-ending!

Whew. Some moments of those days sure can be rougher than others can't they?  Sometimes it's just "rolling" waves and other times it seems like "drowning" waves - but with God, neither one can wash us "away"!  Lately I've had a testing of my heart - man, I sure wouldn't choose those testings if I could - but what amazing opportunity and blessing I would miss out on!  Every trial and testing is nothing less that an opportunity to see God! (and I want to see Him more than anything - no matter what waves may roll!) I love these key verses and have seen them in new light lately!

"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,
 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.  And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
   If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach,
and it will be given him.  But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind."
~James 1:2-6~

Wow!  The testing of faith produces steadfastness - unwavering-ness! :O)  And God tells us to embrace the opportunity to have steadfastness in it's full effect - so we can be complete and lacking nothing! Wow again! And it's as if He knows that our next question would be - "Well how do I know what to do in trials and testings?" - because in the next verse, He answers that!  He tells us if we need wisdom, to ask Him, and He'll generously give it!  What a promise!  And He even adds a warning - to not doubt in asking - because that shakes steadfastness!  Amazing isn't it?  And you know, I want to just add from my heart that God loves holding you!  Steadfastness and unwavering-ness isn't a "I've got this...I've got this...I've SO got this" pep talk in the Spirit, but is a dependance on Him and Who He is in you!  So in steadfast dependance on Him,  hold His hand and when you can't even walk - let Him carry you!  Those waves don't stand a chance! ;o)

"The Lord is my strength and shield; my heart trusted
in Him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise Him!"
~Ps. 28:7~

Blessings to you my friends as you stand unwavering in waves, because the One to Whom the waves are in subjection to - has you! :O)
Praising Him!
