Graceful Resilience

"My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
But let patience have it's perfect work, that you may be
perfect and complete, lacking nothing!" ~James 1:2-4~

Hi Everyone!  Hope you've been having a great week!
Well, you're probably wondering why palm trees in the middle of winter right?  Well, I say why not?! lol!  I wish I was sitting underneath those awesome palms right now! :O)  Palm trees are actually the inspiration for this little blog post! :O)

Graceful Resilience. Palm trees are characterized by those two words!  They stand tall and strong, yet have flexibility in storms. They bend and sway and get shaken around but don't break and then after the storm - they stand back up.  They have such incredible resilience! They were created by an awesome God with deep strong roots and an ability to withstand storms with grace and strength. Wouldn't you just love to be known as someone who is gracefully resilient?  Well, this post is to encourage you that you are just that!

When you gave your life to Christ - you received the deepest, strongest roots ever known!  And you were given all the grace and resilience you would ever need through the Holy Spirit! Storms (trials) in life are hard and sometimes it feels as though we will break - but God's truth isn't based on feeling.  His truth stands strong - and that truth is that, there is no storm, no trial, that can break you, when you rely on the "roots" of His salvation and trust in His Spirit of grace and resilence that is alive in you!  Everything you need for survival in trials - you have in the Holy Spirit! And remember that with each trial that "blows", you only become stronger, not more frail!  :O)

Be strong and confident and claim the amazing gift of graceful resilience that your loving Protector has given you!

"The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon." ~Ps. 92:12
Praying for you all as you weather your "winds" and "storms"!
~Bri
