Held by the One Who holds the year...

"Thou wilt shew me the path of life:  in Thy presence is fulness of joy;  at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore!"  ~Ps. 16:11

Happy 2012 Everyone! Can you believe it's here?! 

I hope all of you had the best of times celebrating the King of King's birth and His gift of a new year! 

I'm excited about this year and all it holds - because I know Who holds the future and He loves holding me! :O)  God has really been laying it on my heart to trust Him and let Him hold me this year and so for this post I wanted to just list out some powerful verses about being held by Him.  I pray that as you read them - you will feel His strong arms holding you tight and hear His voice telling you that with Him nothing is impossible!

"Thou hast also given me the shield of Thy salvation:  and Thy right hand hath holden me up (held me), and Thy gentleness hath made me great!" ~Ps. 18:35

(He loves to hold you!  And doesn't it leave you in awe that through His gentleness

He has made you great?!)

"But I trusted in Thee, O Lord:  I said, Thou art my God.  My times are in Thy

hand:..." ~Ps. 31:14-15a

(This verse is so good to the soul to just quote to Him throughout the day! He loves to

hear you declare it!)

"Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid Thine hand upon me.  Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;  it is high, I cannot attain unto it.  Whither shall I go from Thy spirit?  or whither shall I flee from Thy presence?  If I ascend up into heaven, Thou art there:  if I make my bed in hell, behold, Thou art there.  If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;  Even there shall Thy hand lead me, and Thy right hand shall hold me."  ~Ps. 139:5-10

(Glorious isn't it? He is always by your side. My heart especially loves, in verse 10, how it says He leads me and holds me. What more do I need?!  :O)

"The right hand of the Lord is exalted:  the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly!"  ~Ps. 117:16

(Absolutely no need to fear-over anything!  The same hand of His that holds us, is exalted and doeth valiantly!  He will take care of everything concerning you - because it concerns Him!)
