An Endless Gift
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." ~James 1:17
Happy Thursday Everyone!
Hope your week has been great - mine has! :O)
I work for my Dad at the small business that he owns and I couldn't ask for a better boss! :o) Really - my Dad is such a great man and he is so generous! And the very best of all he gives is exhortation of God's truth! We had a work meeting the other day and he shared the following truth so vividly - it got me so excited about life!
He started out by asking us this question - "If you were given an unlimited source of wealth that would be available to you all of your lifetime - what would you do with it?" (wow. Your brain goes crazy with ideas doesn't it?) What would your answer be? Us employees all had different answers, but there was a common theme; all our answers involved grand ideas of giving! Pretty awesome to imagine isn't it? And amazing to think of the impact that you could have and the things you could do for others! Then Dad shared the true reality of life in Christ - the "endlessly wealthy" concept, is so true of YOU! When you accepted Christ as your Savior, all of Him in-dwelt you! The Spirit of every good thing lives in you! All of His truth, all of His character, all of what life truly is, and all the endless resource of His riches are alive in you! YOU are who He loves to impact the world through - more than any earthly wealth can! You have the gift that deeply meets needs, heals hurts, and restores joy - the Holy Spirit - the Great I AM!
How many times do we think to ourselves, "Boy, I sure do need some diligence/enthusiasm/fill in the blank, today and we try to "muster" it up. Christ's Spirit is Diligence, is Enthusiasm etc. and no "mustering" up is needed! Ask Him to help you claim ALL of what He has given you, ALL of Who He is and experience an endless resource of true wealth to give to the world!
That's what you were made for! That's who you are!
I'm excited to live this out! Blessings to you, as you do too!
"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work!" ~II Cor. 9:8
